For the bar "Franz von Hahn" we designed two lamp series, giving the two rooms a varying ambiance.
The WIREFRAME LAMPS in the entrance room are planned in a symmetrical geometry, giving the Edison bulbs a simple cage. The wooden sticks are connected via 3d printed nodes, which were algorithmically generated in Rhinoceros 3D. The combination of ready made materials and customised nodes cast a soft shadow on the walls, giving the room a warm atmosphere.
In the back room we worked with the direct opposite regarding the formal language. We designed closed volumes, based on irregular cells. The VORONOI LAMPS illuminate the room using triangular holes, known as the Delaunay- Triangulation. The size and amount of openings are connected mathematically to the volumetric geometry. The lamps are made of laser cutted chipboard and contain LED bulbs, which change color and intensity in a soft rhythm.
